Disruptive Materials is founded on the commercialization of Upsalite® the impossible material invented by Professor Maria Strømme and her team at Uppsala University. The company consists of thirty devoted people who develop and sell advanced products and solutions within pharma, sports and cosmetics. Today they have successfully launched partnerships with Palina (Cosmetics) in Sweden and Black Diamond (Sports) globally and is now looking to expand their marketing efforts focusing on brand awareness and lead generation worldwide.

About the role:

As the Brand Manager, you will strengthen the marketing team and focus on creating a brand strategy and execute initiatives to enhance recognition and generate interest in several channels globally. The Brand Manager will specifically be responsible for:

  • Creating a brand strategy in collaboration with the marketing team
  • PR, in both traditional and non-traditional media channels
  • Analyze the market, collect insights and identify opinion leaders/communities
  • Create engaging content for a specific target audience
  • Supporting the sales team in generating content and presentations for specific clients
  • Support partners with everything from development to product launch

Who are you?

We are looking for an independent, flexible and ambitious team player. In addition to an academic degree in journalism, marketing or communication, you have experience within:

  • Project management in PR and communication
  • Copywriting in English
  • Brand development
  • Market analysis


Experience from value-added brands, social selling and data-driven marketing in a fast-growing company is meritorious.
